Dec. 100 cartridge blog hop

 Hi Crafters!

It is time for the 100 cartridge blog hop with My Cricut Craft room. In this blog hop the design team collectively uses 100 cricut cartridges.

You should have hopped over from
Nadja http://nadjarobbins.blogspot.com/
If not please start over at My Cricut craft room because you are not gonna want to miss any of the wonderful project today.

This month I chose to use Birthday Bash, Create a Critter 2, Meow cricut lite, Holiday cakes.

Project 1: Meow

I cut the image at 4”. The base and all its layers. The card measures 4 ¼ by 5 ½.

The layer papers are from nursery mat stack boy.

I added some glossy accents to the nose and mouth.

Project 2: Birthday Bash and Holiday cakes

I used my G to get the sizing right for this card.
I used Birthday bash for the card base and layer. The base is cut at 5” and the layer was sized and cut @ 4.75”

From the Holiday Cakes cartridge, I cut the mittens from pg 47 @ 3.24

I added the layer and then using a white gel pen I added dash lines around the outside.

Then I assembled the mittens and popped them up with foam tape. I then used crystal stickles to add some glitter to them.

I finished off the card with a small red bow.

Project 3: Create a Critter 2

I cut the tree and shadow on Pg 70 @ 4”

For the tree I used some Aleenes snow to give some texture to the snowy layers of the tree.
Then for the star I used golden rod stickles.
After those layers dried overnight, I assembled them and then popped them up on the shadow layer.

For the card and layers, I wanted to keep it simple so I just cut a layer out of snowflake paper and then cut a “hill” freehand for the tree to sit on.

The stamp is from My Pink Stamper Winter punnies stamp set.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I hope you enjoy the hop.

Christmas Wish List

Hi Friends! Its Festive Fridays over at My Cricut craft room and today we were to make Wish list. I used the Close to my Heart Art Philosophy Cartridge to create my wish list cards.

Here's a picture and then I will tell you what I did.
The tree cut is from pg 52 @ 3 1/2"
The label cut is from pg 65 @ 3"

I then stamped the word wish and hand wrote the word list.

On the inside of my standard size card I added 2 sheets of white paper cut at 4 by 5 for me and my hubby to write our Christmas wishes on.
Very easy way to make a list so that I will know just what he wants and more importantly so that he knows what I want haha!!!

Thanks for stopping by. Please head over to My Cricut craft room and see what the other design team sisters made.

Dont forget to join us tomorrow for our 100 cartridge blog hop.

So Here is my project.

I decided to do a collage type page just to share some of my favorite things.
Ok So My name is Sarah and I am 32 years young.

A list of some of my Favorites not Pictured
color: Lime Green
Food: Egg Rolls
Music: Every type specially Country
TV show: Big Brother or Law and Order. I have watched every episode of both.
Drink: Sweet Tea or Sun drop, its kind of a southern thing
Ice Cream: Butter Pecan
Candy: Snicker with Almonds
Movie: Pretty Woman
Actress: Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon,

I know there is a lot on there so I have broke it down into a few photos and I will tell you about ME..
<----- I love shopping, specially for craft supplies.
I am spoiled Thanks to My Mom and Dad when I was little and no to my Husband.
I love playing The Sims 3. Which in case you don't know is a simulation computer game. I fell in love with the game back when the 1st edition came out back in 2000. I can play for hours and hours. Basically its a game where you get to control the life of a Sim.

-----> I love Creating and being crafty. My passion is making cards. I got my 1st cricut 3 years ago and now I have 3 of them.

I love cupcakes. My favorties are red velvet and Maple bacon. Yum!

I have an older sister who is 8 yrs older than me. i love her so much.

I love Stars. I love them so much I have them Tattooed on my Foot.
My favorite time of the Year is Fall. I love when the weather starts cooling down and there is a crispness in the air, and all the leaves start changing colors.

My nickname since I was little has been Cricket. My Grandfather gave it to me when I was less than a year old because he said that I was always making noise just like a Cricket. I don't think I talk to much. but oh well it kinda stuck.

My Favorite saying is Believe in Yourself. I think that word is such a strong word and again I got it tatted on my wrist so that anytime I feel hopeless or feel like giving up I can look down and know that if I believe in The Good Lord above and in myself that I can do anything and can get through anything.

That is just a pic of me. I love when I color my hair Red. And I love to inspire other to Create or to be a better person, it just so happens that the word was on a rainbow because I really like them. you will never see a rainbow unless you weather the storm.

So there it is all About me. Well alot about me. I hope you enjoyed hearing about Me. I really enjoyed making my collage and telling you some tidbits about ME.

Card Creating Tuesday! Falling for you card

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today is card creating Tuesday and the design team were to make Thanksgiving cards or place cards. I decided that I would make a little Thanksgiving card for my Husband to let him know how much I am thankful for him.

So Lets get started.

For my card I used a craft card base to make an A2 card which measures 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 when folded.

Then I cut my mat layers. The plaid is cut at 4" by 5 1/4
The Orange layer is 3" by 3 3/4
The Green layer is  which I then ran thru the cuttle bug using a folder( from the paper studio sold at hobby lobby) before placing my paper in the folder I inked the folder front(the side with the words) with shabby shutter distress ink. Then I carefully closed the folder and ran it thru the bug.
I love that effect.

I then cut the tree using Create a Critter 2 from page 63 at 3 1/2".

The cuts

assembled
I then used a studio g stamp to emboss the sentiment on green card stock.
I then used the deco scallop punch  to punch a border out in the same orange card stock as the leaves.

Next I adheared all the layer together
Then added the tree with foam tape.

and that finished up my card. Here it is again.

The letter S with My Cricut Craft Room

Hi Crafters! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I spent time with my mom for her birthday and we made these cute little snowmen. It just happened that today was the Letter S on My Cricut Craftroom.

Here is my project and then I will tell you what we did.

For this project I used the Wrap it up Cricut cartridge to cut the boxes. They are found on pg 43 of the handbook. I used the box function key.
I cut the boxes at 7", 8 1/4" and 9"

I then ran the cuts through the cuttlebug with the snowflake folder. I had to fold the paper and run them through several times to get most of the box shapes embossed.

I then assembled the boxes and then stacked them together using hot glue(it seemed to work best).

I added buttons for his jacket and his cheeks.

I wanted him to have on ear muffs instead of a top hat so I used pipe cleaners and made to "muff"part by rolling the pipe cleaner around itself.( I would have used pom poms but I didn't have them)  and the  just a piece of pipe cleaner for the band of the ear muffs.

For his arms I just made a circle at the in of the pipe cleaner and then put a slit in the side of the middle box to attach the arms.

I drew on his mouth and added some google eyes.

I then used Aleen's glitter snow to give him a little something extra.

I love the way he turned out. He makes me smile when I see him. I am going to make different ones to represent the people in my family.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. To see more projects with the letter S head over to My Cricut Craft Room to see what my Design Team sisters have made.
