Iris folding card

Hi Everyone!
I hope that you are all having a great week. I have been having a lot of spare time with week and I am loving it!
The other day in the mail I received my card maker of the month kit and it the technique that was demonstrated was iris folding. It is not to difficult and the results are AMAZING! I had so much fun doing it.

Here is the card that I made using the square iris folding tech.

close up of the folding

This is the folding guide that was included with my kit. It is really easy to follow. You just use 4 different colors of paper cut at 2 1/2 by 1 and fold in half the long way, and a paper frame cut to the size that you want. Then you layer the papers following the guide numbers. making sure that the folded edge is toward the inside of the design.

Hello Kitty card

Hi Everyone!
I hope that you are all doing well. Sorry that I have been MIA the past week, I have been really busy taking my mom to doctors appointments, and haven't been able to get any crafting done.  Well yesterday I was finally able to squeeze a card out.
I don't have the "Hello Kitty" Cart yet but I was able to find a adorable svg party set @ skhedrdesigns for free. It has several papers and different cuts in the set. It was a wonderful find!
Here is the card that I created using one of the svg files and SCAL2
I added a big rhinestone to her bow and a few rhinestones to some of the flowers. I did a little glitter paint on her nose and bow.
I just love it even though I am not a big "Hello Kitty" fan, I think that this SVG file may just change my mind about getting the cart.
Thanks for Stopping by!

St. Patty's pop up card

Hi Everyone!
Happy Thursday to you all!  Today I have to go with my mother to see a surgeon a few towns away so I wont be around for most of the day, so I thought I would leave you with this little cutie that I made!
This card is super easy to make. I just cut 2 slits at the top and folded them inwards so that they made a little step, which I added a shamrock to. It creates a great little 3d element to the inside of the card.
I added a little hand stitching to the clover.

The sentiment is from the dollar stamps at acmoore

Pop Up section

I think it turned out great.
Have a great day everyone!

manly Birthday recessed window card~

Hi all my crafty friends!
I don't know about all of you but for me masculine cards are one of my weaknesses. It is really hard for me to create something that I think looks manly and great.  I was flipping through my K&Co Paper stack last night and I saw this dark navy blue paper with cream dots and a strip paper. I thought that they would be great for a guys birthday card. I am really digging the recessed window cards, so thats what I did!

I added metal Happy Birthday tags! Love the look

I added a little brown ribbon and the saying if cut from a K&Co paper.

Thanks for viewing!

Recessed window card

Hi Everyone!
I hope that you are all doing great today! Yesterday it stormed like crazy, we had tornado warnings and hail and wind gust of 50 miles an hour. Wow, it was kinda scary.
Well, why we were having a storm, i made a cute little card.  It was very fun to make, and not to complicated.
Here is the card: I love it!

sentiment for a K&Co paper, Just cut out and matted!
I used paper from The K&Co Huge Paper Stack. " The Best of K&Co"   The paper flowers are from memory makers.

Here's the how to:

  • 5 1/4 by 10 3/4 Cs scored @ 5 1/4 and 5 1/2
  •  on the card front Draw line 1" in from card edges to form a square and then  again @1 1/4
  • score the marked lines
  • once scored cut w/ xacto from opposite corner to corner forming an X
  • Turn the card over and fold the triangles out and make the "frame window"
  • Then decorate.

 the window measures 3 1/4
to decorate the outside the measures are 5" square and the other is 4 3/4"
cut out the center. * use the cut out to cover up the "X" on the inside of the card.

I hope that you will try out this card. It was really fun to make and so many options when decorating.
let me see your creations if you do!

Crafty love
