My Favorite Christmas memory and mug card for mom

Hello Everyone!
I hope that you are all doing well and ready for Christmas. I still have a few things to get and I need to make about 10(maybe a few extra for unexpected visitor) treat bags for the kids on my husbands side of the family.

I love Christmas and spending time with my family.
My favorite part of Christmas is Christmas Eve, since I was little my parents always had a little celebration with me and my sister, we would make lasagna and have yummy snacks like sausage balls and cheese ball and crackers, and cookies and homemade candy. We were always allowed to open one present(sometimes more) and it was just a great time spending it together, because Christmas was always so busy with going to my grandmothers house which was 2 hours away.  That has been our family tradition all my life, now that my sister and I are older and have our own families it is still a great time for just us to be together, but we added a few more people. I think the most remembered Christmas Eve was in 1998. I was 18 years old and had lost my daddy earlier that year. It was a really hard time being the first Christmas without him. My sister has 3, now older, children but she packed them up with all the presents and came and spent the night with me and my mom. We shared stories about my dad and had our usual dinner. I remember how special it was for all of us being together, and having my little nieces and nephew there somehow helped ease the pain that we were all feeling that Christmas morning. I hope that you all take the time to spend a few minutes this Christmas with the ones that mean the most to you, make sure that you let them know how much you love them and appreciate them.
What traditions do your families have?
What is your favorite part about Christmas?
Here is my Christmas tree
I love how the lights blurred in this picture, seems magical

Okay sorry about such a long post but I really wanted to share that with you all!
Now to the fun part:
My Mom is my rock and my best friend, I love her so much and she has done so much for me that I thought I would make her a special little card to let her know,

Here is what I did
I welded a up together using scal2
and made the wording as well

I added a pull out for the little note and for the ribbon I sandwiched a piece of ribbon between 2 pieces of card stock.

Added some glitter and a ribbon to the handle of the mug!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! I HOPE THAT YOU ALL HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY!

Snowman Gate Card for MPS Challenge day 6

Hi Everyone!

My Pink Stamper is having a challenge to create a holiday card or layout, so I decided to make
this  super cute snowman gate card. This project was a lot of first for me, First Gate card and my first digital stamp and coloring. I think it turned out GREAT for all those first.
Here's what I did!
The card is cut at 4 1/4 by 11
and scored @ 2",3 3/4", 7 1/4", and 9"
Here's the card closed! sorry bout the shadow.

The snowman is a digital stamp from pamelasgallery.com
I used crayons for the coloring
I just love how he turned out.
Not to bad for my first if I say so myself! lol
The back ground is cut at 31/4" by 4"
I just used word to create a scroll.
The back paper is from Michael's,
in the bulk paper the name is Euphoria.(if that helps)

Another shot of my card!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day everyone!

Rubber Ducky baby card!

Hello Everyone!
I have a card to share with you today, I made a welcome baby card for my nephew and his girlfriend. They are expecting a baby any day now. It seems like baby cards are all that I have been making the past few post, but they are so darn cute and it's like everyone I know is having a baby.

Heres what I come up with
I used the Doodlecharms cartridge and cut the ducky at 2 1/4, 2", and 1 1/4"
I don't remember the size of the baby wording but I cut it from beyond birthday.
It was the baby shower wording.

Inside I  used a sticker from  Making Memories' BABY set.
I love these sticker. I like the way that it gives the definition of the different words.
I don't know if they still offer these sticker because
I picked them up at a discount store called Ollies.

I just colored in the beaks with orange marker and popped up the wing of the large duck!

Thanks for Viewing! Please leave me a comment, I love to read everyone's kind words.

snowman :)

Hello Everyone! I hope that you are all staying warm today. It has been super cold here in North Carolina the past few days and I am dreaming of snow, so I decided that if I can't have the real thing I would add a little to a card. I found this Glitter Snow by Aleene's and it puffs up when it drys. I use to use it on ceramics and found it in my painting supplies and I figured why not use it on a card.
Here is the card that I came up with. Super simple and easy to make.

snowman is from doodlecharms cartridge

side view so you can see the puffed snow
I hope that You are all having a wonderful day and enjoying the Holiday season!

Just Because :)

http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ had a challenge to make a card using 2 pink, 2 blues and black. This is the card that I made.
I used Potpourri basket cartridge to cut the butterflies. The purple ribbon is special value ribbon from Michaels.
The Pink and Blue paisley is from a Colorbok paper pack that I picked up at wal-mart for $5.00, its a great pack and a good deal. The plain blue and pink card stock is Recollections( soda pop pack).
Hope you enjoy!

New Baby Card!

This is a welcome baby card that I made for a friend. I used the doodlecharms cart. and cut the bottle at 5 inches. The lettering is from Plantin schoolbook. I am not really sure about the papers that I used they were just some that I picked up at a local discount store.

My niece is also expecting and I made here the following card. Mainly it is the same as above just using different colors and instead of using the circles I used tags for the letters.

Thanks for Viewing! Please leave me comments of what you think and any ways that I could have improved!
