My 1st Silhouette Project

Good Morning Friends!
I hope y'all are staying warm with the arctic blast that has hit most of us. I don't have any snow but boy is it cold. This morning it is 0.7 degrees and seems to be falling. I know that is not as bad as most places, but here in NC it usually doesn't get this cold. I hope you are all staying warm.
OK so on to the project
For Christmas I got a Silhouette Cameo. YAY!!!! I have played around with it and I love it. Oh it is amazing at the intricate cuts that it can make. I am still trying to get use to the software and all the features of it. Luckily I am familiar with Sure cuts a lot and I can use it with the Cameo.
I love my Cricut but it was more of a love hate relationship, I loved the designs and the Cricut hated to cut them. Just kidding. I can see where I will still be using both of them but for now I am putting my crafting efforts in the Cameo.
So here is the 1st project that I made with my Cameo.

I used a cut from the Silhouette store Birthday cake #41228 from Miss Kate Cutables. I love this cut. The layers are super cute and it was so easy to assemble.
I think it was sized around 4.5 (note to self: write it down next time)

The Card Base is 5 by 5 ¼ in Kraft card stock
The number paper(mme lime twist out of the blue) is cut at 5 ¼ tall by 4 ¾ wide.
I then used the large circle die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities and die cut the striped paper(mme lime twist fly a kite).
I cut a strip of patterned card stock at 5” by 1 ½ and a white piece of Cs at 4 ½ by 1” I then flag cut the ends and adhered them on top of the circle cut.

I then used Lady bug red memento ink and stamp Happy Birthday from the Stampendous Birthday Bracket stamp set(retired but can be found on ebay).

For the banner I used washi tape and a piece of twine. I looped the tape over the twine and then flag cut the the ends of the tape.

I popped the cake up on foam tape. I then added glossy accents to the “chocolate” layer and added some white dash lines to parts of the cake.

I really enjoyed making this card. I loved how the Cameo was able to cut out the small parts without shredding them to pieces. I can see many more projects coming.
I hope you all have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by my blog.
Until Next time
