Happy Easter!
Happy Easter Everyone!
I hope that you all have a wonderful and joyous easter!
Easter is a day to celebrate the rising of Jesus from the tomb, he died on the cross so that we could be saved from our sin! I hope that today we all remember the real reason for the season! Happy Easter everyone!
"I am the resurrection and the life.He who believes in Me, though he may die
, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die."
-- John 11:25-26
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me."
-- Matthew 28: 6-10 KJV
Happy Easter everyone! I hope that you all have a wonderful day!

I had so much fun making this card and I think that it came out absolutely adorable! Just my opinion.
I used create a critter for the barn and the cow and some of the grass. I used stretch your imagination for the tree and plantin school for some of the other grass.
I used the dvine swirls embossing folder and spots and dots.

Hi Everyone! I hope that you are all doing well and having a great week.
My sister in laws mother in law died on Sunday and I made her and her husband a card. It is really hard to create a sympathy card for me. Here is what I created.
I colored the image with colored pencils and the thinner technique.
I do not know who the digi is from so if you do please let me!

Beautiful Day in NC! plus Challenge entry for Kandrew
Hi Everyone! I hope that you are all doing well. It is a beautiful day here in NC. Currently I am sitting on my deck with a big glass of sweet tea listening to the birds sing and the nice southern breeze blowing. It is so nice out today. Yesterday when my DH came home we did some yard work, which included mowing about 4 of the 8 acres that we live on, And I am so happy that today is nice so that we can get more yard work done.
I just love this time of year. To me Spring is a time of renewal, a time when all thing dead and dormant sprout to life and grace the world with their presence. The flowers start spouting and showing their wonderful colors, Trees bloom and the bees buzz floating from flower to flower collecting pollen to make their delicious honey. One of my neighbor is a bee keeper so we always have a constant supply of the golden goo. Yummy! Spring is also a renewal for me and others. We get a chance to shake off the winter dust that has clouded our spirits. We toss and clean all those things that we have collected through the winter and become NEW! Oh what a wonderful day it is in my neighborhood!
Ok so I have chatted enough, I could keep rambling on and on but I am scared that I may have already lost a few of you. lol
My favorite blogger, Kandrew@ http://www.gettingcricky.com/ posted a challenge to Get Campy this week, and since camping is one of my favorite things to do it was no trouble at all.
My husband and I are avid campers but we do it old style" Tent camping". There is just something about sleeping in a tent. Laying there at night listening to the crickets and frogs chirping their wonderful tunes, sitting by the campfire at night and telling stories that you have heard or told a million times but, they always have renewed life when told around a crackling campfire. Basic chores like washing dishes and cooking meal seem to be so much easier when they are done outside. No one complains and everyone is always willing to help. Can you tell that I love camping?!
Ok so here is the project that I created for gettingcrickysundaychallenge.
I used the Summer Vacation cricut solutions cart. for the tent and the fire. I had to add my own layers but i think that they turned out just great. The grass was scrap green paper that I cut to look like grass and I chalked the blue paper to look like it had clouds.( they don't so up to well in the pictures) i add some ribbon and buttons to the top. I am going to put this in a frame(when I find one that will fit) and put in on my desk!
Thanks for stopping by!

under the big top!
Hi Everyone and Happy Thursday! I hope you are all well and having a great week. I wanted to share a card that I created for my great niece Finley that turned 4. She was having a circus themed party and I wanted her card to reflect that. I also made a banner for her party but silly me forgot to take a picture so I am going to get one from her mommy, and I will share it as soon as I do. So until then here is the card that I made for her.
I cut the elephant @ 3" and the tent at 2 1/2. |
The elephants body is cut from purple iridescent velum paper and the inset of the ears are cut from the same paper. |
I used kraft card stock for the card and the back ground patterned paper is open stock from hobby lobby.
I had a lot of fun making this little card and I am sure that she enjoyed looking at the elephant.
Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Paper Wreath
Hi Everyone! I hope that you are all having a wonderful week. I have been really busy this week, taking my mom to the dr. I have been able to squeeze out some craft projects at night and I would like to share one that I made the other day for my door. I seen this wreath somewhere but I can not remember when I find the site I will place the link Here!
This was really fun to make after I got all the papers cut.
So here's what I did:
8" Styrofoam wreath
4 12x12 patterned papers ( your choice)
Ribbon
Hot glue gun
Take the 4 patterned papers and cut in to strips that are 3" long by 1 1/2 " wide. fold in half without creasing and glue the ends together. This takes the most time.
After you have all of you little paper loops prepared it's time to start applying them to the wreath.
I began at the very top alternating the pattern. Glue the loops down at the ends so that the rest of the loop stands up.
continue hot gluing the loops around the wreath in alternating pattern, At the center of the wreath I took 2 12x 2" strips and glued to finish off and cover up the inside paper loops.
Hang ribbon from top of wreath and tie bow.
Hang wreath where you please!
I hope that you will try this wreath out.
Oh I almost forgot, Don't forget to come back on Friday for Tisha and Gina's Bunny hop. There are some great ladies in the line up and I am sure there is going to be some great projects and blog candy!

Altered Photo Albums
Hi Everyone!
Sorry that I have been MIA for such a long time, but I have been really sick. I am feeling a little better today and I wanted to share a few photo album that I created the other night.
I had a photo album box set just sitting on the shelf, never even opened it. So I thought that I would alter the albums and give them to someone who could use them.

it was really fun making these albums! The paper measures 6 by 12 which I glued down using zip dry paper glue.
I just cut the circles from accent essentials. cut the colored scallops at 2 1/2 and the white circles are 2".
Thanks for stopping by! I hope to get post up more regular now that I am feeling a bit better.
