Thinking of you! Card creating Tuesday with My Cricut Craft Room

Hi Crafters!
It’s Tuesday again and that means another card creating Tuesday with My Cricut Craftroom.

This week we could either follow the sketch or make a thinking of you card and I choose the latter.
Take a look at my card and then I will tell you what I did:

Cartridge used: Paisley
Cut on pg 28 cut at 2 ½

A2 sized card in Kraft cardstock (4 ¼ x 5 ½ )

Background paper from MME  cut @ 4 x 5 ¼
I crinkled the paper and then inked it with Tim Holtz worn lipstick distress ink.
I then sprayed it with cranberry glimmer mist and golden homemade glimmer spray.
I added a strip of MME paper that was cut at 1 ½ x 5 ½  and then layered it with the same paper as the background.

The stamp is from close to my heart and I embossed it with white embossing powder.

I then made white faux stitches around the card.
Oh the ribbon is from my stash.

I popped the ear up on the elephant for added dimension.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you will visit My CricutCraft Room to see what my design team sisters have made as well.

Sketch day!!! Scallop card!

Hi Crafters!
I hope you all are having a great day. It’s sketch day again at My Cricut Craft Room and I have used my Imagine to create a cute card for my take on Erica’s great sketch.
So 1st I will show you the sketch

Isn’t that a cute sketch. So here is my take on the card.

What I did:
The card base is from Birthday bash pg 38 cut at 4”
I also cut the layer for the card and used Kate’s Kitchen for the pattern.
I cut the cup from page 17 in layers because I only wanted the cup and the plate.
I used google eyes and liquid pearls for the marshmallows.
I added Christmas red stickles around the plate for a little extra something.
I set two eyelets at the top and ran some ribbon through the holes.

I love using my Imagine it makes everything so easy. I don’t have to worry about picking out papers or assembling layers. It is so fun to regular cricut cartridges in and get a new spin on things.

Thanks for stopping by!

Lemonade card

Hi Crafty Friends!
I hope that you are all having a wonderful week. Mine has been wonderful. Yesterday was my hubby’s Birthday. My mom took us out for lunch and then his mom made him dinner so I was lucky in not having to cook.
My life has been a little crazy the past week and I haven’t been able to craft as much but I wanted to share a card that I had made a while back that I never shared.
Here is my card and then I will tell ya what I did:

I used the Just because card cricut cartridge
I cut the envelop 1st from page 69 using the shift key. It ended up cutting at 4 ¼
The card base and layer shaper were cut form pg 60 at 6”
The paper for the layer is from K&co confetti stack.
I cut the lemonade glass @3 ½ from pg 69
The cut inside the card is from the stencil cut on pg 69 and I cut it at 2 ½

After I assembled the lemonade, I added glossy accents to make It look shiny like liquid. I used a creative memories rhinestone to the lemon.
I then added all the elements to the card base.
using ribbon from my stash I tied a simple bow.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my creation.  I hope you all have a great weekend and  maybe I will be back sometime this weekend with another post.

Until then Crafty Hugs!

sketch

Hi Crafters! Its Tuesday and that means it is time for another sketch challenge over at My Cricut Craft room.

Here is the sketch we were are using this week;
Ok so here is my take on the sketch and the card that I created.

For my card I used a a2 sized card in Kraft cardstock. I then cut the plaid paper an 1/8" shorter and then I printed the blue paper on my imagine.

The sucker is cute from the yummy imagine cartridge and I added firefly stickles to the swirl on it.
for the scallop I used the deco scallop punch on both side of the paper and then used the sew easy to create some stitching,
The Happy Birthday stamp is from studio G

Today's letter of the day is W

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and were able to visit all the blogs on the 100 cartridge hop.

Well its Monday again and it's time for the design team members to create a project either using the letter W or our Imagines.  I chose to create a project for the letter of the day.

For the W I used the wild card cartridge to create this darling phone card and envelope.

Here is my project for today.

I cut the envelope first at 4 1/2 inches from pg 58
I then cut the inside layer for the envelope using paper from my minds eye stella and rose stack. I think it fits the retro phone well.
I then cut the phone shaped card from the same page at 4 1/2. I cut it 2 times once in the teal and then again in black. I cut the dial and the cord from the icon and the layer buttons.

Thanks for stopping by. Please visit My cricut craft room to see what the other designers have made for today.

100 Cartridge blog hop with My Cricut Craft Room

Hi Crafters! Welcome the June 100 Cartridge blog hop.

There are some great projects lined up for this hop. Be sure to check out the other projects from My Design team sister.

You should have arrived from  Teresa.  If not please start at Erica’s blog ,so that you don’t miss any of the great projects.

The cartridges I chose this month are Pack your bags, Noah’s ABC Animals and Just because cards.

Now On to my projects!!!

Project 1: Pack your bags
Here a picture and then I will tell you what I did

I used the cut on page 65 and the card feature key and cut it out at 4.5”

I then cut the flower and all its layers @4” to layer on top of the cut out on the card. I cut it smaller because the layer are not really for the card feature. i just made it fit.

I added stardust and orange peel stickles to the flower and leaves.

The sentiment is from American crafts and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

I then popped the frame up on foam tape to add some dimension.

Project 2: Noah’s ABC Animals
Here’s the pic

I cut the horse on page 40 @ 6” using the 3d feature key and I also cut 3d layer 1

This is how all the layers look when cut out

I added the layers to the pieces before putting them together.
Then I put the attachment cut through the slits in the horses legs on both sides. I decided to glue the slits pieces down on mine because my horse keep falling over. I think that to make these animals I need really strong and thick cardstock to make them sturdy.

Project 3: Just because Cards
I think that this is my favorite project that I made for this hop. I recently got this cartridge and I was excited to use it.

Here is my card

I used the love you a latte cut on page 34 button 11 and cut at 6 ½”
I used kraft card stock for the base and then cut the card again out of paper from colorbok café au latte stack.

I cut the layers from recollection teal and a coral color.

I inked around the card base with Tim Holtz vintage photo and antique linen around the cuts.

I filled the teal parts of the coffee pot and the words with glossy accents and added some white gel pen dots.

I love the way that this card turned out, I cant wait to use this cart again.

Now hop on over to    Lisa Ch.          after you leave some love. Make sure you comment on all the blogs for the chance to win Erica’s blog candy!
